Occupy Wall Street

I disagree with Occupy Wall Street because I feel like a person needs to work for their money and they aren't entitled to anything. So yeah you went to college, good for you. Doesn't mean you deserve money that you haven't worked for and haven't earned. Also, maybe you did go to college but you "can't" find a job, that's an excuse. There are always jobs out there; McDonalds, Maverick, ect. I feel like America is becoming lazy and expecting things they don't work for.

Week 4(:

WHAT IS THE S AND P 500: An index of 500 stocks chosen for market size; it is meant to reflect the risk/return characteristtics of large cap companies.
The S and P 500 is currently up .35%,
WHAT IS THE RUSSELL 2000: An index measuring the performance of 2000 small cap stocks in the U.S.
The Russell 2,000 is currently up 1.22%.
TREASURY BOND: A marketable, fixed-interest U.S. government debt security with a maturity of more than 10 years.
My ancesters left me a treasury bond so I could go to college and live a fullfilled life.

INFLATION: Rising and falling of prices.
The risk of a stock also has to do with the level of it's inflation.

Transaction: I bought 6,500 stocks of AMR (AMR Corporation Common Stock) at $2.76 per stock. It is now selling for $2.96. Since I bought this stock two days ago, I have made $1,300. I bought this stock because it's 52 W range is 1.75 - 8.98 so it has plenty of room to grow. It's competitors, Delta Air Lines and United Continental Holdings costed alot more and had a much smaller gap between the highs and the lows. Also, I predict this stock continue to go up and reach around four or so dollars per stock in the next month.

Week 3(:

Risk: The possibility of loss in an investment
I took a risk when I bought CVX because it was down while it's competitors were up.
Small Cap: A company with low levels of money invested or stock bonds of low value
Small cap companies are often smaller companies.
Mid Cap: A company with average amounts of share capital in relation to other companies
The companies that i bought that are mid cap companies have great room to grow.
Large Cap:A company with a large amount of share capital
Companies such as Walmart and Apple are large cap companies.
1st Transaction:  I sold Barrack Gold. I bought ABX for $53.85 and it's trading price is now $46.21. Over the period of time that i had this stock, I lost $382.00. I think that Barrack Gold will continue to go down and loose me money so before that could happen, I wanted to get out from under it and sell it to make myself money to buy other stocks that I can actually benefit from.
2nd Transaction: I bought CVX(Chevron) for $89.88. Even though Chevron is down, I believe it will go up based on it's max chart. I chose Chevron instead of it's competitors because it has a much higher 52W range of $89.85-$92.77. I bought Chevron at it's lower part of the range because of the money it will make me in the long run. I predict that CVX will go up at least 5 dollars in the next couple of weeks based on the way it has moved up and down on the max chart.
